The 1973-74 Midget Flyers were the first Township of Cornwall team from any category to win the overall the ODMHA hockey title.
With no league to play in, they played exhibition games against teams from the U.S., Ottawa and the Brockville and Kingston areas, and rolled to a record of 51 wins, 24 losses and 7 ties. They also performed well in 12 tournaments. Their shining moment came at the Tournament of Champions at the Long Sault Arena in March of 1974, where they defeated Richmond in the final game to claim the ODMHA championship.
