Brant Woodside 

High School Athlete and Hockey

2016

Brant will be returning to RO Secondary High School this fall. Brant plays basketball, volleyball and badminton at RO. In grade 9 he was top track and field athlete at RO. Brant finished among the top discus throwers in Ontario, representing Eastern Ontario at the OFSAA championships. He has also won MVP awards the past two seasons on the badminton court.

Since 2009 Brant has played hockey during all four seasons. He has played for the Seaway Valley Rapids, Eastern Ontario Flyers AAA, Ottawa Nationals AAA, Maplesoft Hawks AAA, Upper Canada Cylclones AAA, HEO U14 All-Star team, Ottawa Dusters AAA and Eastern Ontario Wild AAA, and had the honour of being captain for six of those teams. Those teams would move on to win 10 major tournament or league championships.

Brant was drafted 32nd by the Cumberland Grads in 2015. He is now property of the Cornwall Colts. This past year Brant played for the U18 AAA Colts and was a member of the HEO AAA Robinson division all star team.

Brant was a volunteer soccer coach for the Township of South Stormont in 2015 and a part time practice instructor for South Stormont hockey teams.
