2023

Ella started skating at the age of two and started to play hockey at the age of three. It is safe to say that hockey became the love of her young life.  She began to play hockey with the Cornwall Typhoons as a tyke. In her minor atom year, her Cornwall Typhoons team won a provincial bronze medal after seven periods of overtime. In Ella’s major atom year, her Typhoons team won a provincial silver medal. Eventually, Ella decided to make the move to play hockey for the Nepean Wildcats in her major peewee year. The Nepean Wildcats went on to become provincial AA Champions.  Ella had continued playing hockey in Nepean and East Ottawa. Last year, Ella played in the U22 Provincial Elite League, which is the highest level of competitive hockey for females in the province. She will continue to play in the U22 Elite league next season playing for the Ottawa 67’s.

Ella is currently entering grade twelve at St. Joseph’s Catholic Secondary School in September and is a very proud Panther. She has won numerous SD&G titles in volleyball, basketball, hockey, and soccer. She also plays tennis, badminton and track and field. In grade ten and eleven, she was the winner of many MVP and Hustler awards. Ella was also named Junior Athlete of the Year in grade ten and Senior Athlete of the Year in grade eleven. She was also awarded the High School hockey player of the year at the 2023 Lion’s Club awards.  Ella has also competed at EOSSA in soccer, basketball, volleyball, hockey and track and field.

Ella hopes to one day continue her hockey career at the university level.
