Julia Cameron

2023
Born and raised in St. Andrew’s West,  Julia is a recent graduate from St. Joseph’s Secondary School. In high school, Julia played on the hockey, softball, soccer, and basketball teams. Each year, her hockey, soccer, and basketball all earned a spot for EOSSA after winning SD&G championships.  In 2022 her softball team won SD&G championship and in the 2023 season they came first in the B finals.

Julia started playing hockey at four years of age for Cornwall Typhoons and later for the Alexandria Highlanders until her final year of midget in 2023. As a Highlander, her team won Ontario Eastern Championships two years in a row and in 2023 made it to the Ontario Provincial Games.

Julia has played in other sports such as soccer for Cornwall Coyotes and Blazers, Cornwall Cyclones and currently plays for Cornwall Kinsmen Girls Softball.

In 2023, Julia received the Most Dedicated Player for her Midget Highlanders team, voted from her teammates and coaching staff. In school sports, she was the assistant captain for hockey and softball and received Hustler award for her softball team. Julia was nominated for Female Athlete of the Year and Most Valuable Player and  was the recipient of The Dedicated Panther Award for a student who participated in sports from Grade 9 to 12. At graduation, Julia received the Dr. Bosse Dental Clinic Award and the Les Newman Memorial Award for excellent athletic performance, high academic standing, leadership, perseverance, and strong work ethic. She also received the Vice Principal award for a student whose presence helps others achieve their best.

Julia will be attending post-secondary this fall in pursuit of becoming a Police Officer.
